Socket Welding Flange is a forged hub flange manufactured in accordance with global industrial standards. It is produced by precision forging and CNC machining, with accurate socket bore and finely machined sealing surface. This flange type is widely used in oil, gas, steam and chemical small-bore piping systems, covering pressure ratings from Class150LB to 2500LB, PN6-PN160, making it suitable for a wide range of high-pressure operating conditions.
Socket Welding Flanges are forged hub flanges, designed for inserting pipe end into the flange socket and fillet welded externally. This flange supports RF, FF and RTJ sealing faces, featuring compact structure, reliable sealing and excellent pressure resistance. Although it is mainly used for small bore pipelines, it is still commonly specified in oil & gas transmission, chemical processing, water supply and power system projects.

Q1: What is a Socket Welding Flange?
A: It is a forged hub flange with a precision-machined socket bore. The pipe end is inserted into the socket and then fillet-welded externally, giving a compact structure and reliable sealing for small-bore piping.
Q2: Which standards do you produce SW flanges to?
A: We manufacture according to ANSI B16.5, EN1092, DIN, JIS B2220 and BS4504, with full dimensional traceability and mill test reports.
Q3: What pressure ratings and sizes are available?
A: Pressure ranges from Class150 to Class2500LB (PN6–PN160), and the size range is NPS 1/2"–4" (DN15–DN100), which suits small-bore high-pressure lines.
Q4: What facing types can you offer?
A: We supply FF (Flat Face), RF (Raised Face) and RTJ (Ring Type Joint) facings, with surface finish machined to customer requirements.
Q5: What materials are available?
A: Carbon steel A105 and ST37.2; stainless steel 304, 304L, 316 and 316L; alloy steel F11 and F22. Special materials can be discussed on request.
Q6: Where are SW flanges commonly used?
A: They are widely specified in oil and gas transmission, chemical processing, water supply and power system projects, especially for small-bore high-pressure operating conditions.
