Long Welding Neck Flange is an integrated forged flange with extended tapered hub manufactured to global flange standards. It is produced by one-piece forging and precision CNC machining, with optimized tapered hub and accurately processed sealing surface. This flange type is widely used in vessel nozzles, high-temperature and high-pressure critical process pipelines, covering pressure ratings from Class150LB to 2500LB, PN6-PN160, making it suitable for a wide range of harsh operating conditions.
Long Welding Neck Flanges are integral forged flanges with extended tapered hub, designed to optimize stress distribution and reduce welding joints. The long tapered hub design disperses concentrated stress effectively and minimizes welding seams, lowering leakage risk. Hub length can be customized according to customer drawings. Although it has longer hub than standard welding neck flange, it is still commonly specified in oil & gas, energy, reactor nozzles and key industrial piping projects.

What is a Long Welding Neck Flange?
A: It is an integral forged flange with an extended tapered hub, produced by one-piece forging and precision CNC machining. The long tapered hub disperses stress effectively and reduces welding seams.
Q2: Why choose an LWN flange over a standard welding neck flange?
A: The extended tapered hub optimizes stress distribution, minimizes welding joints and lowers leakage risk, making it ideal for high-temperature, high-pressure and fatigue-critical service.
Q3: What standards and size range do you offer?
A: Standards: ANSI B16.5, ANSI B16.47, EN1092 and DIN. Sizes cover NPS 1/2"–60" (DN15–DN3000).
Q4: What pressure ratings and materials are available?
A: Class150–2500LB (PN6–PN160). Materials include A105, P245GH, 304, 316L, F51, F11 and F22.
Q5: What facing types can you provide?
A: FF, RF and RTJ facings are available to meet different gasket and sealing requirements.
Q6: Can the hub length be customized?
A: Yes. The hub length can be customized according to customer drawings, and it can be made to match pipe Sch wall thickness. Typical applications are vessel nozzles, reactor nozzles, oil & gas, energy and key industrial piping projects.
