Industrial valves are mechanical devices designed to control, direct, and regulate the flow and pressure of fluids within a piping system. They function by opening, closing, or partially obstructing passageways to manage liquids, gases, and other media. Our comprehensive portfolio includes a wide range of pipe valve types engineered for the most demanding applications, from resilient wedge Gate Valves and quarter-turn Butterfly Valves to dependable Swing Check Valves and specialized fire protection control valves like Deluge and Alarm models. In line with our mission to help build a safer world, each valve is designed and rigorously tested to deliver superior performance, ensuring every connection is safe, efficient, and built to last.
The primary function of any industrial valve is to manage the fluid within a system. Our valves are engineered to perform these critical functions with unmatched precision and reliability.
> On/Off Service (Isolation): Our Resilient Wedge Gate Valves provide positive shutoff, using a ductile iron wedge to completely stop or allow flow, making them ideal for isolating sections of a pipeline.
> Flow Regulation (Throttling): For applications requiring flow modulation, our Butterfly Valves utilize a rotating disc to precisely regulate fluid volume, offering an efficient and compact control solution.
> Backflow Prevention: Swing Check Valves are essential for system protection, automatically preventing the reversal of flow to safeguard equipment and maintain system integrity.
> System Actuation & Alarm: In fire safety systems, specialized valves perform critical automated functions. Our Wet Alarm Check Valves act as a water flow alarm initiating device; when a sprinkler operates, the valve opens, allowing water flow and activating alarms like a water motor gong and pressure switches.
Our valves are trusted in the field across a wide range of critical industries and systems, demonstrating proven performance where it matters most.
> Fire Protection Systems: A core application, our valves are used as the backbone of wet and dry pipe sprinkler systems, in fire inflow water lines, and throughout high-rise building and industrial factory fire protection systems.
> Waterworks & Treatment: Certified lead-free to NSF/ANSI 61 & NSF/ANSI 372 standards, our valves are ideal for potable water, water supply pipelines, and drainage systems.
> Industrial & Commercial Buildings: Widely installed in essential building services, including factories, hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, and office buildings.
> Marine Systems: A dedicated line of marine valves and accessories is available for specialized maritime needs.
Every pipe valve we offer is designed and manufactured to meet or exceed the most rigorous international standards, ensuring quality and compliance for your project.
> Working Pressure: Our robust valve designs are rated for demanding service, with maximum working pressures of up to 350 PSI.
> Approvals & Certifications: We establish authority and trust with a comprehensive portfolio of international approvals, including FM, UL, cUL, VDS, and CE.
> Design Standards: Our products conform to key industry standards, including AWWA C502, AWWA C515, ASME B16.10, and UL 262.
> Connection Types: To ensure universal application, we provide a full range of end connections:
- Flanged: ASME/ANSI B16.1 Class 125 and BS EN 1092-2 PN16.
- Grooved: ANSI/AWWA C606.
> Size Range: Our valve portfolio covers a wide range of sizes, from 2" up to 24" (DN50 to DN600), depending on the specific model and type.
Understanding the internal mechanism of each control valve is key to selecting the right product for your application.
> Gate Valve Mechanism: An EPDM encapsulated ductile iron wedge is moved perpendicular to the flow path by a rotating stem. The wedge seals tightly against the valve body to stop flow.
> Butterfly Valve Mechanism: A disc is mounted on a central shaft within the pipe. A 90-degree turn of the stem pivots the disc from parallel (open) to perpendicular (closed) to the flow.
> Wet Alarm Check Valve Mechanism: This valve acts as a check valve and alarm actuator. In a ready state, a clapper and rubber seal prevent water from entering the system. When a fire sprinkler opens, the resulting water flow lifts the clapper off its seat. This unseats the valve, allowing water to flow into the system and simultaneously directing a small amount of water to the alarm port, which activates the water motor gong and pressure switches.
The quality of a valve is determined by the quality of its components. We utilize premium materials for every part to ensure long-term, reliable service.
> Anatomy of a Gate Valve:
- Body & Bonnet: Ductile Iron (ASTM A536).
- Wedge: EPDM Encapsulated Ductile Iron.
- Stem: 304 Stainless Steel.
- Handwheel: Ductile Iron, with tamper-resistant design on OS&Y models.
> Anatomy of a Butterfly Valve:
- Body: Ductile Iron.
- Disc: EPDM Encapsulated Ductile Iron.
- Shaft/Stem: 416 Stainless Steel.
- Operator: Gearbox with handwheel or a simple lever handle.
We offer a range of operation methods to suit different system requirements, from simple manual control to fully automated actuation.
> Manual Operation: Includes multi-turn handwheels for precise control on OS&Y Gate Valves and quick, quarter-turn levers for Butterfly Valves. NRS Gate Valves are available with wrench nuts for operation with T-wrenches or indicator posts.
> Remote & Automatic Operation: Our specialty fire protection valves are designed for automated response. Deluge Valves can be activated remotely by electric or pneumatic signals, while Wet Alarm Check Valves operate automatically when a drop in system pressure is detected. Solenoid valves are also available for precise electronic control.
The selection of premium materials is fundamental to the performance and longevity of our valves.
> Core Construction: The body, bonnet, and covers are primarily made from high-strength Ductile Iron (ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12), providing superior strength-to-weight ratios.
> Internal Components: Stems and shafts are manufactured from Stainless Steel (Grades 304 and 416) for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. Critical components like stem nuts and seat rings often use bronze alloys like C95400 for their strength and low-friction properties.
> Sealing Materials: We use high-grade EPDM rubber for O-rings, gaskets, and the encapsulation of ductile iron wedges and discs, ensuring a bubble-tight seal.
> Protective Coatings: To ensure long service life, especially in outdoor or corrosive environments, our valves are coated inside and out with a fusion-bonded epoxy coating.
