Grooved Couplings

  • Heavy-Duty Flexible Grooved Coupling | UL/FM Approved | Ductile Iron (ASTM A536) | EPDM/NBR | DN25–DN300 (1″–12″)
    Brief:
The Heavy-Duty Flexible Grooved Coupling joins grooved-end steel pipe while allowing controlled angular deflection, axial movement, and vibration attenuation—ideal for lines subject to thermal expansion/contraction, pumps and equipment tie-ins, and seismic or settlement considerations. Compared with rigid couplings, the flexible design helps relieve stress concentrations and reduce noise.

    Construction & Materials
    • High-strength ductile iron housing (ASTM A536) with corrosion-resistant finish (orange paint or hot-dip galvanized).
    • Pressure-responsive gasket: EPDM (water/air), NBR (oils/fuels) available.
    • Zinc-plated track-head bolts and heavy-duty nuts for reliable clamp load.

    Standards & Compatibility
    • Groove dimensions per AWWA C606; works with standard roll-grooved or cut-grooved pipe, and with grooved fittings/valves.
    • UL Listed / FM Approved options suitable for fire sprinkler systems; also widely used in HVAC and industrial water services.

    Typical Applications
Fire mains & risers, chilled water/HVAC loops, pump connections, long straight runs that require expansion compensation, and vibration-prone lines in industrial plants.

  • Heavy-Duty Rigid Grooved Coupling | UL/FM | Ductile Iron (ASTM A536) | EPDM/NBR | DN25–DN300 (1″–12″)
    Brief:
"Built for fixed-alignment joints in grooved piping, this heavy-duty rigid coupling locks pipe ends to eliminate axial and angular movement—ideal for fire protection, HVAC, and industrial services where “zero deflection” is required. The housing is high-strength ductile iron (ASTM A536) with corrosion-resistant coating; the pressure-responsive gasket (EPDM standard, NBR optional) seals against the pipe OD for fast, leak-tight installation. Rigid joints also simplify hanger spacing in line with common piping codes.

Designed to meet groove dimensions per AWWA C606 and interoperate with standard roll-/cut-grooved steel pipe and grooved fittings/valves. Typical working pressures for standard rigid series are in the hundreds of psi depending on size and wall thickness; high-pressure “HP” series reach up to 1000 psi (size-dependent)—check the data sheet for your diameter and service. UL Listed / FM Approved options are available for fire sprinkler mains, risers, and mechanical rooms."

Especially in those occasions where space is limited or the direction of the pipe needs to be adjusted, Angle Pad Coupling provides a simple and effective solution. Due to its easy installation and high reliability, it has become one of the indispensable key accessories in the pipeline system.
  • HDPE Transition Coupling Connect HDPE To Steel, PVC & Copper Pipes Securely
    Brief:
HDPE Transition Coupling is a specially designed fitting used to connect HDPE pipes with metal pipes such as steel, copper, or PVC. One end is made of high-quality PE100 for fusion welding, while the other end is metal for threaded, welded, or flanged connections. This coupling ensures a strong, leak-free, and corrosion-resistant joint between different piping materials. Widely used in water supply, gas distribution, industrial piping, and fire protection systems, it provides a reliable and efficient solution for multi-material pipeline transitions.
  • Quick Rigid Coupling
    Brief:
Quick Rigid Coupling are accessories for quick connection and fixing of pipes. They are designed with a simple and fast installation method, usually without additional tools or welding. It ensures the firmness and sealing of pipe connections through a unique groove design and locking mechanism. Quick Rigid Coupling can effectively resist pressure fluctuations between pipes while avoiding leakage problems and providing reliable connections.

High-Performance Grooved Pipe Couplings for Secure, Leak-Free Connections

In any piping system, the integrity of the connection is paramount. Jianzhi offers a modern, efficient, and highly dependable solution with our premium grooved couplings. Engineered for swift installation and long-term reliability, our couplings provide a secure joining method that stands superior to traditional welding or flanging. Fulfilling our brand promise of "Safer, No Leak," we provide an extensive range of durable pipe coupling solutions, crafted from high-strength metal coupling materials for unparalleled performance in the most demanding environments.

The Grooved Coupling Mechanism: Simple, Fast, and Secure

The genius of the grooved coupling lies in its straightforward and effective design. The system works through three primary components: the gasket, the housings, and the bolts and nuts. The process is simple:

1.A specially designed elastomeric gasket is stretched over two grooved pipe ends.

2.Two housing segments are then fitted over the gasket. Integrated keys within the housings engage precisely with the grooves in the pipes.

3.As the bolts and nuts are tightened, the housings clamp down on the gasket, creating a secure, unified joint. This action compresses the gasket to form a pressure-responsive, leak-tight seal that strengthens as internal system pressure increases.

Anatomy of a Durable Pipe Coupling

Every component of our grooved coupling is engineered for maximum performance and longevity:

> Housings: The robust outer shells are cast from high-strength Ductile Iron (ASTM A536, GRADE 65-45-12), providing a formidable containment for the joint and ensuring it withstands high pressure and external stress.

> Gasket: The elastomeric gasket is the primary sealing component. It is designed to be pressure-responsive, meaning the seal becomes stronger as internal pressure increases. Available in various materials like EPDM for water services (-30°C to 130°C) and Nitrile for petroleum products (-20°C to 80°C) to suit different applications.

> Bolts and Nuts: High-tensile, heat-treated bolts and nuts are used to secure the housings. They are typically coated or plated (e.g., hot-dip galvanized) for enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term joint integrity.

Why Choose Grooved Couplings for Your Piping System?
