Grooved Fittings

  • 22.5 Degree Grooved Elbow | Ductile Iron 1″–12″
    Brief:
The 22.5° Grooved Elbow provides a smooth change in direction for grooved-end piping systems while maintaining full flow. Manufactured from ductile iron (ASTM A536) with corrosion-resistant coating, it mates with roll-grooved or cut-grooved steel pipe and installs quickly using standard grooved couplings.
  • Threaded Mechanical Tee | UL/FM | XGQT03S | 1½″–10″ Sch10/40
    Brief:
The XGQT03S Threaded Mechanical Tee creates a fast, reliable branch connection on steel pipe without welding. Designed for Schedule 10, Schedule 40 and GB/T 3091 pipe, it delivers a pressure-responsive seal around a hole-cut opening and provides a female threaded outlet (NPT or BSPT) for sprinklers, valves, gauges, or instruments.

  • 45 Degree Pipe Fitting
    Brief:
45° elbow in the groove is to change the direction of the pipe, and it is usually used in places where a small angle is required. It can bend the pipe at a 45-degree angle, which is suitable for slight changes in the direction of fluid flow. Compared with the 90-degree elbow, the 45-degree elbow can reduce the fluid resistance in the pipe, maintain a relatively smooth flow, and can effectively adjust the pipe layout in a small space. Due to its easy installation and good flow performance, the 45° elbow is widely used in fire protection systems, water supply pipelines and other fields.
  • 90 Degree Pipe Fitting
    Brief:
The 90 elbow to change the direction of the pipeline, and it is usually used where the pipeline needs to turn. It can reduce the fluid resistance and pressure loss that may be caused by right-angle turns while ensuring the stability and smoothness of the pipeline system. Due to its simple design and convenient installation, the 90-degree elbow is widely used in fire protection pipelines, water supply pipelines and other systems.
  • Grooved Cross Connector Fitting
    Brief:
The cross in the groove is to connect four pipes to form a cross structure. It is usually used in pipe systems that need to distribute or converge fluids in multiple directions, and can achieve effective connection between four pipes. In applications such as fire protection systems and water supply pipes, the cross can help the flexible layout of the pipe system to ensure the smooth flow of fluids in multiple directions. It is widely used in complex pipe networks, especially in situations where four pipes need to be connected at the same time.
  • Grooved Pipe Tee
    Brief:
The Tee is to branch or connect a pipeline to a main pipeline to form a T-shaped structure. It can achieve the distribution or convergence of fluids in different directions and is often used in pipeline systems that require diversion or convergence. In applications such as fire protection systems and water supply pipelines, tees can not only effectively change the direction of fluid flow, but also ensure the stability and smoothness of the pipeline system, and are particularly suitable for occasions that require quick installation and disassembly.
  • Mechanical Tee Grooved
    Brief:
The Mechanical Tee Grooved is to connect a main pipe with a branch pipe to form a T-shaped structure. It is firmly connected to the pipe through a mechanical locking device, does not require welding or threaded connection, and is simple and quick to install. Mechanical Tees are widely used in pipeline systems that require quick connection and diversion, especially in the fields of fire protection systems and water supply pipelines, and can effectively distribute fluids from the main pipe to the branch pipe. Due to its unique design, the Mechanical Tee not only improves installation efficiency, but also ensures the stability and sealing of the pipeline system.

Grooved Pipe Fittings: The Fast, Flame-Free Pipe Connector for Modern Construction

The grooved piping method is a modern, flame-free, and highly dependable system for joining pipes. It serves as an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to traditional welding, flanging, or threading. As a pioneering manufacturer with a rich history dating back to 1982, we are committed to building a safer world by delivering premium pipe fittings to every project. This commitment has earned us the trust of a global customer base, with distribution in over 100 countries and a remarkable reorder rate exceeding 90%.

How Grooved Fittings Work

A Simple, Secure, and Rapid Assembly Process

The brilliance of the grooved pipe connector lies in its straightforward and efficient assembly, creating a secure joint in a fraction of the time required by other methods.

1.Pipe Preparation: A groove is precisely formed on the pipe end using a roll-grooving machine. The pipe ends are checked to ensure they are clean and free of any indentations or projections that could interfere with a proper seal.

2.Gasket Installation: A resilient, pressure-responsive rubber gasket is lubricated and positioned over the two pipe ends. This component is crucial for creating the leak-proof seal.

3.Housing Assembly: Two housing segments are placed over the gasket. The keys of the housing engage directly with the grooves on both pipes.

4.Securing the Connection: Bolts and nuts are inserted and tightened to secure the housing segments together. This action firmly clamps the pipe ends, locks them in place, and creates a unified, permanent, and leak-tight joint.

Components of a Grooved Pipe Connector

The Anatomy of a Perfect Seal

Every grooved coupling consists of three essential components working in unison to provide unparalleled performance:

> The Housing: The outer casing is manufactured from high-strength Ductile Iron (ASTM A536, Grade 65-45-12), designed to withstand the toughest conditions. Its primary function is to encase the gasket and securely grip the pipe grooves.

> The Gasket: This is the heart of the seal. Our gaskets are available in various materials to suit different services, including EPDM, Nitrile, and Silicone to suit different applications and temperature ranges (e.g., EPDM for -30°C to 130°C). The unique C-shaped profile creates a triple-seal that is enhanced as internal line pressure increases.

> The Bolts & Nuts: High-tensile, heat-treated bolts and nuts are used to secure the housing segments. They are typically treated with an anti-corrosion coating, such as hot-dip galvanizing, to ensure long-term reliability and easy maintenance.

Advantages of Our Grooved Coupling System

The Clear Choice for Modern Piping Systems

> Unmatched Reliability and Safety: Our "Safer, No Leak!" commitment is proven by an industry-leading 99.96% product qualification rate and a return rate of just 1 in 440,000. Every single fitting is rigorously tested for airtight and hermetic performance to prevent leaks.

> Speed and Cost-Effectiveness: The grooved method allows for significantly faster and easier installation compared to welding, reducing labor hours and overall project costs.

> Proven Durability: Manufactured from superior ductile iron, our fittings are built to last and withstand demanding conditions. Various surface treatments, including epoxy and hot-dip galvanizing, provide superior corrosion resistance.

> Design Flexibility: The system allows for both rigid couplings (Fig. XGQT01) for a firm joint and flexible couplings (Fig. XGQT02) to accommodate vibration, thermal expansion, and contraction without compromising seal integrity.

> Easy Maintenance: The system can be easily disassembled for maintenance or modification by simply removing the bolts and nuts, saving valuable downtime and simplifying system access.
