Overview
The Grooved Reducer Concentric Coupling is designed to connect two grooved-end pipes with different diameters while maintaining a common centerline. By integrating diameter reduction and grooved connection into a single fitting, it offers a compact and efficient solution for modern piping systems where installation speed, alignment accuracy, and space optimization are essential.
Product Description
This concentric grooved reducer coupling features grooved ends on both sides, allowing quick mechanical assembly without welding or threading. It enables a smooth transition between larger and smaller pipe sizes while keeping the pipeline aligned on the same axis. Compared with traditional reducer fittings that require multiple components, this coupling simplifies installation, reduces labor time, and minimizes the overall footprint of the piping system.

| 1.Take out the Rigid &Flexible Coupling Clean the gasket sealing surface within 16mm of the hole and visually inspect the sealing surface for defects that may prevent proper sealing of the gasket.Don't drill the hole on weld line. | 2.Split the Rigid &Flexible Coupling If any burrs or slug exists at the pipe hole, please remove them before assembly,to protect the gasket and avoid leakage. | 3.Pipe preparation Insert the gasket into outlet housing making sure the tab in the gasket line up with the tab recesses in the housing.Align outlet housing over the pipe hole making sure that the locating collar is in the pipe hole. | 4.Lubricate gasket Align the strap around the pipe, inser the bolts and tighten the nuts finger tight. | |||||

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between concentric and eccentric grooved reducers?
A: A concentric reducer maintains the same centerline on both pipe ends, while an eccentric reducer offsets the centerline to prevent air or liquid accumulation.
Q2: Does this coupling require welding during installation?
A: No. The grooved design allows mechanical installation without welding or hot work.
Q3: Is it suitable for fire protection systems?
A: Yes. It is commonly used in fire protection, HVAC, and water pipeline applications where grooved connections are specified.
Q4: Can it be installed in tight spaces?
A: Yes. Its compact design and grooved connection significantly reduce installation space compared to traditional reducer assemblies.
Q5: What types of pipes can it connect?
A: It is suitable for grooved-end steel pipes used in standard grooved piping systems.
