Overview
The Reducing Adapter Nipple is a grooved piping component designed to connect pipes or fittings of different diameters while also adapting connection types within a grooved system. It integrates size reduction and connection transition into a single compact part, helping simplify pipeline layouts and improve installation efficiency.
Product Description
A Reducing Adapter Nipple typically features a grooved end on one side and a reduced plain-end or threaded/grooved transition on the other, depending on system requirements. It allows a smooth change in pipe diameter while maintaining secure mechanical connection. By minimizing the number of fittings required, this adapter nipple reduces potential leak points and streamlines system assembly, especially in space-restricted installations.

1.Take out the Rigid &Flexible Coupling Clean the gasket sealing surface within 16mm of the hole and visually inspect the sealing surface for defects that may prevent proper sealing of the gasket.Don't drill the hole on weld line. | 2.Split the Rigid &Flexible Coupling If any burrs or slug exists at the pipe hole, please remove them before assembly,to protect the gasket and avoid leakage. | 3.Pipe preparation Insert the gasket into outlet housing making sure the tab in the gasket line up with the tab recesses in the housing.Align outlet housing over the pipe hole making sure that the locating collar is in the pipe hole.
| 4.Lubricate gasket Align the strap around the pipe, inser the bolts and tighten the nuts finger tight. |

FAQ
Q1: What is the main purpose of a reducing adapter nipple?
A: It provides both diameter reduction and connection adaptation within a grooved piping system.
Q2: How does it differ from a standard grooved reducer?
A: A reducing adapter nipple not only changes pipe size but also adapts the connection type or configuration, often in a more compact form.
Q3: Does installation require welding or special tools?
A: No. Installation is mechanical, using standard grooved coupling methods.
Q4: Is it suitable for high-pressure systems?
A: Yes, it is designed for use within the working pressure limits of standard grooved piping systems.
Q5: Can it be used in retrofit projects?
A: Absolutely. Its compact and multifunctional design makes it ideal for upgrades and system modifications.
