Overview
The Threaded Reducer Concentric Coupling is designed to connect two pipelines with different diameters and different end types. Featuring a grooved end on one side and a threaded end on the other, it provides a practical transition solution for piping systems where mixed connection methods are required.
Product Description
This concentric reducer coupling combines a mechanical grooved connection with a threaded outlet, allowing smooth diameter reduction while maintaining a common centerline. It is commonly used when one pipeline section adopts a grooved connection and the other uses a threaded connection. Although the initial fitting cost may be lower than a fully grooved reducer, installation typically requires more time and manual labor. When overall installation expenses are considered, it may not always be the most cost-efficient option, but it remains an effective solution for connecting dissimilar pipe ends.

| 1.Take out the Rigid &Flexible Coupling Clean the gasket sealing surface within 16mm of the hole and visually inspect the sealing surface for defects that may prevent proper sealing of the gasket.Don't drill the hole on weld line. | 2.Split the Rigid &Flexible Coupling If any burrs or slug exists at the pipe hole, please remove them before assembly,to protect the gasket and avoid leakage. | 3.Pipe preparation Insert the gasket into outlet housing making sure the tab in the gasket line up with the tab recesses in the housing.Align outlet housing over the pipe hole making sure that the locating collar is in the pipe hole. | 4.Lubricate gasket Align the strap around the pipe, inser the bolts and tighten the nuts finger tight. | |||||

FAQ
Q1: What is the main purpose of a threaded reducer concentric coupling?
A: It connects two pipes of different diameters with different end connections—one grooved and one threaded—while maintaining centerline alignment.
Q2: Is it more economical than a fully grooved reducer?
A: The fitting itself may cost less, but installation often takes more time and labor, which can increase total project cost.
Q3: Does it require welding during installation?
A: No. Both grooved and threaded connections are mechanical and do not require welding.
Q4: What is the maximum working pressure?
A: The maximum working pressure can reach up to 2.5 MPa.
Q5: When should this type of reducer be selected?
A: It is ideal when pipelines with grooved ends must be connected directly to threaded-end pipelines without redesigning the system.
