Looking for a reliable supplier of pipe crosses? MaitoLead offers carbon steel and stainless steel crosses that comply with ASME B16.9 and B16.11 standards. Our range includes both equal and reducing crosses, manufactured using high-pressure forging processes to ensure secure and stable pipeline connections.
Pipe crosses are used to connect piping in four directions and are commonly employed in complex piping networks requiring branches in two directions. MaitoLead’s crosses undergo rigorous heat treatment and non-destructive testing to ensure the structural integrity and strength of the intersection.
Types: Butt-weld (BW) Cross, Socket-weld (SW) Cross, Threaded (THD) Cross.
Manufacturing Standards: ASME B16.9, ASME B16.11, MSS SP-95.
Pressure Ratings: 3000LB, 6000LB, 9000LB (SW/THD); SCH40, SCH80, SCH160 (BW).
Materials: Carbon steel (A105, 20#), stainless steel (304L, 316L), duplex steel.
Features: Robust structure, high-pressure resistance, vibration resistance.
Applications: High-pressure boilers, chemical reactor piping, marine engineering.
At MaitoLead Group, we strictly control every step of the production process to ensure our pipe fittings meet the highest international standards (ASME, DIN, JIS). Our comprehensive manufacturing workflow guarantees precision, durability, and reliability for every product.
Quality begins at the source. Upon arrival, all raw materials (steel bars/billets) undergo strict chemical composition and mechanical property testing to ensure they meet specific grade requirements (e.g., ASTM A105, SS304/316) before entering the warehouse.
Using advanced CNC band sawing machines (such as the SGT-330Z shown), we precisely cut raw materials into specific weights and lengths. This automated process minimizes material waste and ensures consistency for the subsequent forging stage.
The cut billets are heated to optimal temperatures in industrial furnaces to achieve high plasticity. They are then forged under high pressure. This forging process refines the internal grain structure of the metal, significantly enhancing the strength and impact resistance of the fittings compared to casting.
After forging, the rough parts move to our precision machining workshop. Using CNC lathes and drilling equipment, we machine the outer diameter, inner bore, bevel ends, and threads to exact tolerances defined by ASME B16.9 or B16.11 standards.
To achieve the required mechanical properties, the machined fittings undergo specific heat treatment processes (such as normalizing, quenching, tempering, or solution annealing). This step eliminates internal stresses and optimizes hardness and toughness.
Our Quality Control (QC) team conducts rigorous dimensional checks and visual inspections. We verify wall thickness, diameter, angles (45°/90°), and surface finish to ensure zero defects before the products proceed to surface treatment.
For stainless steel fittings, we perform pickling to remove scale and oxidation from the forging and heat treatment process. This is followed by passivation to form a protective oxide layer, maximizing corrosion resistance and ensuring a clean, uniform silver-white finish.
Finally, the finished products are carefully packed in plywood cases or pallets according to export standards. Each package is clearly marked with material grades, sizes, and heat numbers for full traceability, ready for global shipment.
At MaitoLead, quality is not just a promise; it is a verified standard. We implement a comprehensive inspection protocol for every batch of pipe fittings to ensure they meet strict international standards like ASME B16.11 and ASTM specifications. Our "Zero Defect" policy ensures that only flawless products reach your project site.
Using high-precision calipers and micrometers, our QC team meticulously checks critical dimensions including outer diameter, wall thickness, and center-to-end length. This ensures perfect fit-up during on-site installation and welding.
For threaded fittings (NPT, BSPT, BSPP), we perform 100% thread verification using standardized Go/No-Go ring gauges and plug gauges. As seen in our testing workshop, this step guarantees that threads are free from defects and will seal tightly under high pressure without leakage.
Every fitting undergoes a strict visual check to ensure the surface is free from cracks, scars, heavy pitting, or forging laps. We also verify that the pickling and passivation process has been correctly applied to stainless steel products to maximize corrosion resistance.
We maintain full traceability for all products. Each batch is cross-referenced with Mill Test Certificates (MTC) to confirm chemical composition and mechanical properties match the ordered grade (e.g., A105, SS316L).
